Derek's love of radio stretches back years, as illustrated by his loving production of Story of the Light for BBC Radio 2.

On-air, his career began on commercial radio in Lancashire; then on stations from Jazz FM to Century and Smooth. He's also passed on his skills in his work at Burnley College where he ran the student station.
