'I'M BACKING BOOM' SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These competition terms and conditions should be read together with, and are in addition to, Boom Radio’s standard terms and conditions which can be found here (the“General Terms”). Together these specific competition terms and conditions and the General

Terms shall be referred to as the “terms”.

ITEM 1: COMPETITION

I'M BACKING BOOM the “Competition”).

ITEM 2: PROMOTER

Boom Radio , registered office: 43 Clarendon Square, Leamington Spa, Warks,  CV32 5QZ

 (the “Promoter”).

This is a Boom Radio competition, running only on Boom Radio

ITEM 3: WEBSITE

Boomradio.co.uk/ (the “Website”).

ITEM 4:

COMPETITION LAUNCH AND CLOSING.

Entrants can enter the Competition via the website page from 12th September 2024 (the “Launch Time”) until 2359 on 3rd November 2024  (the “Closing Time”). 

Any entries received before the Launch Time or after the Closing Time(for whatever reason) will be invalid.

ITEM 5: ENTRANT RESTRICTIONS

The Competition is open to UK and Channel Islands residents aged 16 years or over on the date of their entry (both entrant and nominated listener).

Employees (and their family members) of the Promoter (or any company in the same group) or any company involved in the Competition, are excluded from entering the Competition and their entries will not be considered.

If any email addresses or other contact details fail to work or are incomplete or inaccurate, then prizes shall be forfeited.

If there is evidence that the new listener is not listening, or was listening before this competition started, then prizes shall not be awarded to the entrant or the new listener.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants where incomplete information is given; and reserves the right to use the email address and/or mobile phone number to check entry authenticity. If any irregularities are detected, both the entrant and the new listener will not be eligible for prizes.

Only listeners and new listeners entering into this contest directly shall be eligible, not listeners  mentioned on-air in any other context.

ITEM 6: ROUTES OF ENTRY AND COSTS

Entries shall be invited via the website, as announced on-air by the Promoter.   Entrants are asked to tell a friend (a 'new listener') about Boom Radio and help the new listener find the station. These individuals should not already be listeners. 

Entrants must tell the promoter their name and email address and the name and town of the new listener.

The contest is free to enter.  One entry is allowed for each new listener the entrant helps to listen to Boom, to a maximum of 25. Use of automated systems or bots to enter the contest is strictly prohibited.

ITEM 7: DRAW

A daily winner will be chosen by electronic random draw from all 'new listener' names submitted at the time of drawing which shall be periodic through the contest. That name will be announced on-air in Graham Dene's breakfast programme between 0900 and 1000.  The names will be announced each weekday from 12th September until Friday 1st November.

If the 'new listener' hears their name, they must get in touch with Boom Radio via the website, by clicking  'I'm Backing Boom', and then 'I've just heard my name' before 10.00 on the day of the mention.  

They must give their name and email address.

As a bonus round to conclude the contest on Monday November 4th, several names will be announced between 09.00 and 20.00 that day. Winners must, as above, get in touch before the end of the hour in which their name was announced.

ITEM 8: PRIZES

The winning entrant and the winning 'new listener' will each receive a prize. Each may choose between £100 cash by electronic transfer or high street vouchers. Should this not be possible, alternative arrangements will be made.  The Promoter shall seek to deliver prizes within 30 days. The Promoter may mention the name and town of any winners.
