Motown Mayday
1964 was the year when Motown broke through across the World - and set the UK alight.
The Temptations, Mary Wells, the Supremes and Martha and the Vandellas were greeted enthusiastically in London - and Baby Love soared to Number One after its Top of the Pops appearance.
We mark the 60th anniversary with a special Motown Mayday.
We're sprinkling in Motown favourites across the day - then it's a whole evening of back to back Motown!
We'll focus on the years 1959-1967 from 4.00 with Len Groat. Then at 6.00, Dame Jenni Murray plays an hour of her personal favourites before Dave Brown takes over to focus on the Motown years from 1968 onwards. Judi Spiers finishes our celebration with an hour of her faves from 9.00.
