Who owns and runs Boom?

We're a group of old friends with a dream who launched Boom in Feb '21. 

We're semi-retired radio folk who've had enjoyable careers, backed by a few individuals who believed in the idea of creating a station for our generation at a time when the BBC appeared to be serving us less well.

We wanted to play the music we grew up with, flavoured with a few more recent tracks - hosted by presenters our age.

We also wanted to dig a little deeper into artists' repertoire than other stations and play some tracks you may not have heard for ages, alongside the familiar hits.

We're independent - and not part of any major media organisation.

Boom has no premises - the presenters broadcast from their own homes.
